Turkey Cutouts Free Printable

Hey there turkey lovers! Are you ready to gobble up some Thanksgiving fun? I’ve got the perfect craft for you and your little ones to enjoy this holiday season. Introducing the Thanksgiving Turkey Anagram Kids Craft!

Get Your Gobble On

First things first, let’s get our materials together. You’ll need the following:

  • Printable anagram turkey template (link below)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Construction paper in various colors
  • Markers or crayons

Now that we’ve got our materials, let’s get started!

Gobble Up Some Fun

Step 1: Print out the anagram turkey template (link below) and cut out all of the pieces.

Thanksgiving Turkey Anagram Kids CraftStep 2: Cut out the different colored construction paper into small squares. These will be used to create the feathers on the turkey.

Construction PaperStep 3: Have your child use markers or crayons to color in the different parts of the turkey’s body.

Step 4: It’s time to create the feathers! Have your child take a square of construction paper and fold it in half. Then, fold it in half again. Finally, fold it one more time to create a small square.

Step 5: Cut the small square into a triangle shape to create a feather. Repeat this process with different colored construction paper until you have enough feathers to cover the back of the turkey.

Step 6: Glue the feathers onto the back of the turkey body.

Step 7: Now for the anagram part! Write different Thanksgiving related words onto small pieces of construction paper. Examples include “Pilgrim”, “Turkey”, “Cornucopia”, “Thankful”, etc. Mix up the letters in each word and place them onto the turkey’s belly.

Step 8: Have your child unscramble the letters to figure out what each word is. They can write the correct spelling onto the back of the construction paper for extra practice!
