It’s never too early to start looking ahead to next year! The Mets have just announced their schedule for the 2023 season, and as a die-hard fan, I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.

Mets vs. Braves: Opening Day

The 2023 season kicks off with a bang as the Mets take on the Braves on Opening Day. It’s always an exciting time of year, but there’s something special about the first game of the season. I can’t wait to join thousands of other Mets fans at Citi Field to cheer on our team.

Interleague Play

As always, there will be plenty of exciting interleague matchups in the 2023 season. Some of the highlights for the Mets include facing off against the AL East-leading Red Sox, and the Yankees in the Subway Series. I always love seeing the Mets take on teams from the other league - it’s a chance to see some new faces and some different styles of play.

NL East Rivals

Of course, the Mets will also be facing off against their NL East rivals throughout the season. There will be plenty of matchups against the Braves, Nationals, and Marlins - but as a New Yorker, the games against the Phillies always feel extra special. I can’t wait to see the Mets bring their A-game against Bryce Harper and the rest of the Philly squad.

October Baseball

It’s still early days, but as a Mets fan, I’m already dreaming of October baseball. Will our team make it to the playoffs this year? Will we have what it takes to bring home a World Series title? The schedule is just the first step in what’s sure to be an exciting journey. I can’t wait to see what the 2023 season has in store for us all.
