The Sorrowful Mysteries
The Sorrowful Mysteries are the second set of mysteries in the Rosary, and they focus on the suffering and death of Jesus. The five mysteries are:
1. The Agony in the Garden: This mystery recalls the moment when Jesus, after the Last Supper, went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane and was overcome with sorrow and distress, knowing that he was going to be crucified.

The Luminous Mysteries are the most recent addition to the Rosary, having been introduced by Pope John Paul II in 2002. They focus on the public ministry of Jesus and his teachings. The five mysteries are:
1. The Baptism in the Jordan: This mystery marks the moment when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River and received the Holy Spirit.
2. The Wedding at Cana: This mystery recalls the first miracle that Jesus performed, turning water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana.
3. The Proclamation of the Kingdom: This mystery tells of the preaching and teaching of Jesus, who announced the coming of the Kingdom of God and called on people to repent and believe in the Gospel.

5. The Institution of the Eucharist: This mystery celebrates the moment when Jesus shared his last supper with his disciples and instituted the sacrament of the Eucharist, telling them to do this in memory of him.
