Free Printable Rebus Puzzles

I recently came across a really cool rebus worksheet that I just had to share with all of you. It’s perfect for anyone who loves brain teasers and puzzles, and I promise it will keep you entertained for hours on end.

Rebus Worksheet 1

Rebus Worksheet 1This worksheet is the first in a series of rebus puzzles that I found online. It features a variety of different images and symbols, each of which represents a different word or phrase. Your job is to figure out what each symbol means and then use that information to solve the puzzle. Believe me, it’s much easier said than done.

Some of the symbols on this worksheet include:

  • A picture of a bee, which represents the word “be”
  • A picture of a foot, which represents the word “foot”
  • The letters “u” and “r” next to a picture of a sun, which represents the phrase “you are”
  • A picture of a star and a fish, which represents the phrase “starfish”

As you can see, some of the symbols are quite straightforward, while others require a bit more interpretation. This is what makes rebus puzzles so challenging (and fun!). You’ll really have to put your thinking cap on and use your creativity to solve each one.

Once you’ve figured out what each symbol means, the next step is to use that information to solve the puzzle. In this case, the puzzle asks you to come up with a well-known phrase or saying. To do this, you’ll need to combine the words or phrases that each symbol represents and see if you can come up with something that fits the bill.

For example, one of the first symbols on the worksheet is a picture of a bee. We know that this represents the word “be”. The next symbol is a picture of a tree, which represents the word “tree”. If we combine these two words, we get “be tree”. This doesn’t make a whole lot of sense on its own, but if we keep going and look at the other symbols on the worksheet, we might be able to find something that works.

As you work your way through the worksheet, you’ll start to notice patterns and make connections between the different symbols. You might realize that certain symbols represent common words or phrases that show up in a lot of different puzzles. You might also discover that some symbols can be interpreted in multiple ways, making the puzzle even more challenging.
